<li>Improve participants' understanding of the latest coaching theories and concepts</li>
<li>Increase participants' understanding of the links and differences between coaching and other development tools for supervisees (mentoring, counseling, training, advising, etc.).</li>
<li>Clarify the different tools and stages of a successful coaching experience</li>
<li>Practice some key tools during and after the program</li>
<li>Draw up a coaching agreement with a selected coachee and produce an end-of-program report</li>

<p>Anyone in charge of a civil society organization working to defend causes for which it wishes to mobilize more convinced stakeholders.<strong> </strong></p>
<h2><strong>Objectives</strong></h2>
<p>The main aim of the workshop is to meet the capacity-building needs of FOASPS and its member associations in advocacy, and to improve its advocacy planning process. It targets the heads of the Executive Board or Council, and the members and employees of the associations in question.</p>
<p>The specific objectives of the workshop are to enable participants to build their capacity to :</p>
<ul>
<li>Explain and give content to the concept of participatory advocacy ;</li>
<li>Establish a link between the vision of Participatory Advocacy and their role as actors in their own development.</li>
<li>Improve their basic understanding of the Advocacy Framework and some tools for creating an effective advocacy strategy;</li>
<li>Develop an advocacy action plan, incorporating specific targets and goals, that can later guide them in the development of their advocacy initiative.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Expected results</strong></h2>
<p>This training will produce the following results:</p>
<ul>
<li>Participants will be able to conduct (replicate) a similar advocacy strategy design process.</li>
<li>The organization in which the participants work will have a draft strategy on an advocacy topic chosen by the participants (or in advance by the leaders).</li>

<h2>Program objectives :</h2>
<p>The overall aim of this training program is to develop participants' ability to work towards supporting the Organization's financial viability.<br />
More specifically, the program aims to bring national federations and their member organizations up to the required level of understanding and competence in :</p>
<ul>
<li>Concepts and tools for financial viability and resource mobilization in context;</li>
<li>Techniques and tools for mobilizing financial resources that may be relevant to FOASPS member organizations in their local, regional and international context;</li>
<li>Human resource mobilization and fundraising plans in accordance with donor guidelines and requirements and applicable laws;</li>
<li>The resource mobilization cycle and the planning and monitoring of resource mobilization actions.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Expected results :</h2>
<p>The following results are expected from this activity:</p>
<ul>
<li>The players in the national federations and their member organizations have mastered the concepts, guiding principles, techniques and tools of financial sustainability, the resource mobilization cycle and the key ingredients for expanding support from the government and technical and financial partners;</li>
<li>The national federations and their member organizations have drawn up their resource mobilization plans in accordance with the guiding principles and requirements of the donors and the applicable legal framework, with technical support from the FOASPS permanent secretariat;</li>
<li>A pool of resource mobilization trainers is available at national federation level to support stakeholders in the development, implementation and monitoring-evaluation of resource mobilization plans.</li>
