A single health

The "One Health" principle is an integrated, unifying approach to balancing and sustainably optimizing the health of people, animals and ecosystems. This principle recognizes that the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants and the environment in general (including ecosystems) are closely linked and interdependent, and require an integrated, cross-functional approach. The approach mobilizes multiple sectors, disciplines and communities at different levels of society to work together to promote well-being and address threats to health and ecosystems. It's also about meeting collective needs for clean water, clean energy, clean air and healthy, nutritious food, acting against climate change and contributing to sustainable development.
