Mental health

Under this term, many types of mental disorders are grouped together. This expression of mental health encompasses mental disorders, psychosocial disabilities and other mental states associated with distress, functional impairment or risk of significant self-harm. A mental disorder is characterized by a major clinical alteration in an individual's cognitive state, emotional regulation or behavior. It is usually accompanied by distress or functional impairments in important areas.
