Mental health

This term covers many different types of mental disorder. This expression of mental health encompasses mental disorders, psychosocial disabilities and other mental states associated with distress, functional impairment or risk of significant self-harm. A mental disorder is characterized by a major clinical alteration in an individual’s cognitive state, emotional regulation or behavior. It is usually accompanied by feelings of distress or functional impairment in important areas.
